The shame is not the man

Laying homeless in the street.

It is the one who walk by

And do not care at all.



The shame is not the woman

Who was assaulted walking home.

It is the one who told her

It was her fault for wearing that.



The shame is not the employee

Who raises concerns about practices.

It is the business that puts profits

Ahead of the well-being of its staff.



The shame is not the refugee

Sitting in an offshore detention centre.

It is the government who fail,

Time and time again, to process claims quickly.
